Model 10
.375H&H
Machined from pre-hardened billet stock, the rear of the breech block and receiver are solid walls of steel. There are no cuts or holes that could allow escaping gases to reach a shooter's face. A crisp trigger pull and short hammer fall provide fast lock times. The tang safety is smooth and quiet, equally convenient for right or left-handed shooters. A strong positive extractor firmly grips both rimmed and rimless cases. Straight tangs allow a stock design with a high comb and good facial support, while minimizing the effects of recoil.

Model 76 Safari
.375H&H
In 1986, Don Allen and Pete Grisel created the Dakota 76. It combines the best features of the pre-64 Model 70 action with a Mauser-type extractor...along with a number of innovations that are strictly Dakota.
Today, the Dakota 76 is one of the most desirable hunting rifles in the world, proven on every continent, in every climate, and on every type of game. It has deservedly taken its place among the legendary rifles of the 20th--and 21st centuries.
The Dakota 76 is offered in Classic, Safari and African grades. They all feature controlled round feeding and positive extraction; the extractor, underneath the locking lug and positioned at the end of the bolt, opens fully to insure that the next round feeds smoothly. The three-position safety allows the bolt to be operated with the safety on. The one-piece trigger guard and hinged floor plate are machined from solid bar stock.
Every Dakota 76 can be custom-tailored to your size and tastes, with a wide range of optional features available

Standard Features - Safari

Longbow  ***IN STOCK***
.338LAPUA
The Longbow was developed from the ground up at the request of one of the world's more sophisticated governments, seeking a tactical military rifle of unprecedented accuracy, power and flexibility. Based on Dakota Arms' renowned Model 76 hunting action, the Longbow offers range and power vastly superior to .30 tactical rifles, without the weight and bulk of .50 weapons.

The Longbow guarantees 1/2 MOA performance with an effective range of 1500 meters in its .338 configuration. It generates up to 5250 ft. lbs. of muzzle energy from a 300 grain bullet traveling at 2850 fps. The rifle is available in .338Lapua magnum, .330 Dakota magnum, and .300 Dakota magnum. It utilizes commercially available match grade ammunition and components.

Traveler Take Down
7mmSTW
.375
H&H

Created for the traveling hunter, the Traveler is a Model 76 that takes down into two sections: the receiver/stock and barrel/forend. It packs in a small case, and you can easily add a second barrel. For example, combine a .300 H&H with a .375 H&H, or a 7mm Dakota with a .404 Dakota, and you have the ultimate African plains and big game combination in a compact, easy-to-transport package. Individual Traveler rifles can be built in virtually any caliber; however, multiple barrel/caliber combinations must be chosen from within the same family of calibers.
